1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing the DetectYou Chrome extension, using the mobile app, or creating an account at detectyou.tube, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
DetectYou is a platform for detecting AI-generated content on YouTube. It consists of a Chrome extension, a mobile app, and a web portal. The service uses advanced AI detection technology to analyze submitted videos and determine whether the content is AI-generated. Access is provided through paid subscription plans, which include a monthly quota of credits and priority processing.
3. Shared Results
Results of every check are stored and made available to all users of the service. Once a video has been analyzed, its verdict is shown to everyone — for example, as a badge displayed over the video — so that each check benefits the entire community. Results are therefore not private to the user who requested them.
4. Public Benefit
DetectYou is built for the common good: helping people distinguish authentic content from AI-generated material and promoting transparency and trust in online media. By making detection results openly available to everyone, we aim to reduce the spread of AI-driven misinformation for the benefit of society as a whole.
5. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Accounts are personal and may not be shared with or transferred to other individuals.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not use DetectYou to submit videos for fraudulent purposes, attempt to manipulate detection results, abuse the API, or circumvent usage limits. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price changes take effect. Extra credit purchases refill your current billing cycle's monthly quota back to full — they do not create a separate non-expiring balance, and the quota resets again on your next renewal.
8. Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase or renewal by contacting us via the contact form.
9. Limitations of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the accuracy of detection results or any decisions made based on them. Our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid in the preceding three months.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
